#1584 Thank You God for spring; for hope that blooms even when there is gray- You never change…”in every change He faithful will remain.”
“Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end”
(Be Still, My Soul by Catharina von Schlegel, Translated by Jane Borthwick, 1813-1897)
#1585 For the “Ireland green” grass all around; while there are many things we miss about living out west, the lack of green is not one of them. It has been so green lately, with the rain and warm weather. Thankful for this deep green that makes you stop and stare, praise to the Artist of All.
#1587 For a quiet walk with lens in hand, capturing tender sprouts and blooms. Taking in beauty and filled with sense of wonder and gratitude.
#1585 For the “wedding veil” tree…stunning silent, flowing and bowing flowering branches. Have you seen “Prince Caspian”? Remember the breathtaking scene when Lucy is called by Aslan? She arises and walks through floating pink blossoms to the One who’s voice she knows and who she longs to know more. This moment revisited. Standing under delicate veil, clothed in true beauty- His handiwork sheltering.
#1986 That You are near, close- even when I feel far. That You are constantly telling of Your love, majesty, character. Help me to see, to listen, to offer back this life You’ve given and entrusted. Thank You for the reminder, through spring, that You keep Your promises. Help me to rejoice in chill of winter and grandeur of spring- both. You are worthy.
#1987 For old stones, reminding me of the foundation of the the ancient stone, ancient words, “Ancient words ever true, changing me, changing you- we have come with open hearts, oh let the ancient words impart” (by Michael W. Smith).
Revelation 5:11-14 (New International Version, from biblegateway.com)
11 Then I looked and
heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and
ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the
living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
#1989 For Spencer, for his life…although fleeting, you ordained his being. Thank You for his family, for carrying him to You. For the comfort You are giving, for the tears You are collecting…though we do not understand we trust.
#1990 For hearing that the “first baby” was placed with those we hoped he was placed with- that he is a perfect fit for their family and all is well. For the hope of our placement to come.
