Day #23 brought about a bit of a writer’s block. I am so glad for this writing challenge from The Nester, but will be glad for the break next month. I saw my brother briefly this weekend and took more pictures of him, (since I have already posted most of the photos I have of him from the past few years). So here are the recent pictures of my handsome bro, coupled with some reasons why I love him so much.
There you are right there. Brother of mine. Standing near; full of support and love. Forgive me for the times I have taken you for granted. I can’t imagine life without you bro. You are gracious, kind, and we are proud of the man you are. You light up a room with your presence. You are loyal and fun, and easily amused by our antics. You are handsome. Your life is ordained by God and you are here to live for His glory and purposes. You matter.
I like to watch you and Hubby together; your bro-in-law, both sporting glasses and a goatee (well Hubby has a full beard at this point in time). Sharing a love for sports, for the Lord, and for me!
As Hubby’s shirt says you know how to really, “Live Strong” Brian. You have braved surgeries, changes, and difficult things in your life. You make the most of your life by loving the Lord, caring for others, and being you (to quote Mary Poppins, ‘practically perfect in every way”)!
Deep Breaths: Take a quiet moment and thank God for this day. This day He has made; to live and move and love; and make a difference.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
