With Thanksgiving around the corner and Christmas approaching, I thought I would pause and tell you about a some easy and affordable gift ideas. I have found that I really like shopping from home. I had a great time hosting a Premier Designs Jewelry Party and attending a Thirty-One party recently (let me know if you want to shop from these sites but don’t already have a consultant). It is a blessing to support your friends who have home businesses. They offer great deals and it is fun to purchase gifts for others and get a few for yourself as well. Below are some other special gifts you can purchase from the comfort of your couch.
Enjoy!
First of all, if you haven’t seen the beautiful dresses (for women, expectant mothers and girls) at Shabby Apple you should! One of my favorite dresses from them, the Animalia, is on sale right now. Go to the link below and click on the SALE tab to see this dress and many others. You can also access Shabby Apple anytime from my blog’s right sidebar.
One of the blogs I follow, The Mom Creative, introduced me to Lisa Leonard Designs. I just love the simple, yet deeply meaningful, jewelry pieces that Lisa designs. Click on the link for the 2012 Christmas ornaments. I just purchased one of the personalized ornaments for an upcoming wedding. If you are new to Lisa’s site, sign-up for her e-newsletter and receive 15% off your first order.
If you haven’t ordered from Vitacost yet, check this site out! They have a world of health products available at discounted prices. Tons of vitamins, cleaning products, food, and beauty items. Click on this link and (if you have never ordered before) you will receive $10 on your first order. Last year I received the Burt’s Bee’s head-to-toe kit from a friend and was thrilled. Some of my favorite products from Vitacost are: Mrs. Meyer’s basil scent cleaning products, Badger Organic Lip Balm (Tangerine Breeze), and Bob’s Red Mill baking products.
I have also enjoyed the quality products I have ordered from Tiny Prints. My favorite products are their personalized photo cards and invitations. I just ordered some adorable Christmas cards from them. Click on this link to access $20 off your first order.
I have also started a photography business, click on the “Imprints Photography” tab at the top of this blog for more information. This month I am featuring this winter photograph. You can purchase this print (5×7, 8×10 or 11×14) or order Christmas cards featuring this print. You can personalize the cards with one of the following (your name, Merry Christmas, a bible verse, or other simple holiday greeting). E-mail me at imprintsphotographykatie@gmail.com for more information.
A great way to help bless someone else this holiday season is to shop Compassion International’s Christmas catalog.
This is a special way to help those in poverty and teach your children
about the needs of others. You can give your gift(s) in honor of loved
ones. How meaningful would it be to find out someone donated clean water or life saving medicine to someone on your behalf!
As we approach this holiday season my prayer is that we will overflow with thanksgiving for the best gift of all, Jesus Christ. He is the Ultimate Gift that keeps on giving…
May we keep things simple this season and be a blessing as we live to make Him known.
Much Love,
Katie
