I must admit, I’ve been a bit preoccupied (okay a lot).  I did something a bit crazy on February 19th.  Chalk it up to all the snow we’ve had in the Midwest, or my thirst for adventure…or maybe this might be something that’s been brewing just beneath the surface for awhile and just now came bursting forth like Old Faithful at Yellowstone.

I took a big step with my writing on the 19th…and registered for the She Speaks Conference, made a website, started getting serious about my twitter account, and applied to be a monthly contributor with (in)courage.  We’ve had a lot of time on our hands (between the snow-covered roads blocking us in and sickness running its course throughout our family) and I used this cabin fever to get creative.

The other day Hubby told me how happy he is with all this because…I am joyful, full of life (even though I am sleep-deprived from staying up way too late and having so many ideas that I can’t sleep- even when I do crawl into bed), and animated; bursting to share ideas and tell him the latest, like “Guess who “favorited” one of my tweets?!”  And, “Guess who is following me now on twitter?!” And, “Guess which author just called me and wants to invest in me and encourage me?!”  And, “Guess what advice she gave me?!”  Hubby is a good sport.  He is trying to keep all these names straight as I name-drop.:)

I am blown away by the support and encouragement I am receiving as I take this shaky step forward with my writing.  I am excited to see what God will do with this offering.

Speaking of offering.  Now is the time to make your gift to Show Hope via our Extension 26 project.  It’s the 26th and we are giving $26 to help bring waiting children into their forever homes.  Won’t you join us?  It is easy and so rewarding.  In early March we will be announcing the next recipients of the Extension 26 project, you won’t want to miss hearing about this exiting ministry and some special people that serve there!
