Are you WILLING to join us for Five Minutes? Just write about one little word each Friday- today the word is “willing”, and we hope you are, because we need your story!:)
Am I willing?
Willing to be poured out, even if I am not thanked?
Am I willing?
Willing to offer, even if my gift is not well-received?
Willing to be poured out, even if I am not thanked?
Am I willing?
Willing to offer, even if my gift is not well-received?
I am, I hope.
My child…willing am I, to multiply what you pour out.
Willing am I- to receive your offering with joy.
I AM here, with hope.
My will is for you to know me and enjoy Me forever.
My will is found on the journey, in the midst of the trial, in the mess of the everyday.
Are you willing to delight in Me and not just do your duty?
Are you willing to trust me, not just at Point A or Point B, but on the path in between?
I AM willing My child…
Willing to give you all, my very Son, in hopes that you will accept Him, with your free will.
May you live out these days, whether ordinary or extraordinary, with Me.
I AM, here and willing.
Hope.

“Are you willing to delight in Me and not just do your duty?” What a beautiful reminder to not just be willing to do things, but to do them to His glory, with a joyful heart delighting in Him.

The duty vs. delight is a daily struggle for me.:)

Another perfectionist fumbling in grace – I’m so glad to see you again. Loved that we connected last week at the FMF and here you are, my neighbor this week. It’s beautiful words you’ve shared; questions lovingly asked; reminders gently given. I’m happy to take these words into my weekend with me. Have a blessed one!
Katie says
Thank you Rebekah- “fumbling in grace” so true.:)

Hey Katie, I accidentally deleted your comment on my post! No idea how I managed that but I can’t get it back. You asked about she speaks, I was planning to go but have a commitment with our kids sports camp we do through our church that week. I am trying to determine if I can do both. You are the 3rd person to ask me, I think I need to make it work. Are you going? I am so excited about getting this message to the younger generation. If just one of them can be less lost than I was at 18, 20, or 22 then it will be worth it. Thanks for your comment, sorry I deleted it!

This was beautiful! It spoke to me where I’m at right now, especially the phrase, “Are you willing to trust Me, not just at point A or point B,but on the path inbetween?” Thank you for posting!
