There are so many ministries and so many needs that we could showcase here for Extension 26. I had several thoughts about what to highlight for May, then God made it clear.
I have come to know and trust Lisa-Jo Baker by being a part of the launch team for her book, Surprised by Motherhood. She is originally from South Africa and her family is a big part of building a Community Center in Maubane, “Help finish building a kitchen in South Africa for mothers a world away and see motherhood and your own messy kitchen as anything but ordinary through her eyes.”

Here’s the deal. We are not waiting until the 26th to give this month. We are imploring you to give today. Because Sunday is Mother’s Day and isn’t this the best way to have a meaningful Mother’s Day? Not to get but to give, and really then you get anyway, because…
“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” –Acts 20:35

We just purchased the “Mother” necklace. As you wear it may it remind you of all those mothers across the globe who give just like you do.
