My friend Kim left a poem she had written in the comments section of this blog. It warmed my heart that she bravely shared her words with others.
She could have hidden her words under a bushel where it felt safe, but she dared to share her spark and it gave light to those gathered ’round.
What about you? Are you hiding your light?
Do the talents, the beauty, the words within embarrass you? Do you dare to display them or do you cover them up with excuses and fears?
Are you afraid that your motives are mixed or that you may stumble as you offer what’s in your hand—so you stay there in the shadows?
Are you concealing the gift that God has entrusted to you?
I am excited to be guest posting over at God-sized Dreams today.
Come on over for an invitation to use your God-given talents
to shine brightly in this dark world…
Linking up with the #RaRaLinkup and Testimony Tuesday today and #TellHisStory, Woman2Woman, Coffee For Your Heart, and Three Word Wednesday tomorrow.

Oh Katie! So humbling to see my poem inspired you in some way. Thank you.

Um…Yes, I’m guilty as charged. Mostly because I worry that my ‘talents’ aren’t really talents or I don’t know exactly what to do with them ;).

Sometimes we need courage to step out and share our light. Sometimes we need encouragement to believe in the Gifts God has placed in us. A great encouragement to begin this year with. So lovely to visit again!
