Do you get tripped up when you look at the path that others are journeying on?
As you walk the narrow road set before you, do you find yourself discontent and envious of the lush wide way that others have been given?
Are you lost out there in the woods because you got turned around as to which way you were going?
I have known envy. I know what it’s like.
You put in your time—blood, sweat and tears—and wonder what you have to show for it. You come up with great ideas only to find they’re already written, said or claimed by another. You wonder what in the world you have to add to the conversation. You feel left out, overlooked and invisible.
You can resent the success of others or you can pray for them, celebrate them and be in their corner (thanks to Courtney DeFeo for her encouragement to cheer others on via her session at the She Speaks Conference).
Today I’m telling a story of comparison and the relief that can be found as we embrace the path He has set before us. Come on over to Kelly’s place, Purposeful Faith, as we ask the question, Are You Starstruck or Awestruck?
P.S. Several months ago the lovely Kelly Balarie invited me to become a monthly contributor on her site. I am thrilled to be making my debut over there today. Kelly and I met briefly at She Speaks and have forged a sweet friendship over voxer, email and each others’ blogs. Kelly speaks messages that my heart needs to hear, time and time again. She also hosts the popular #RaRaLinkup. Come on over and connect with Kelly, the Cheerleader of Faith—you’ll be so glad you did!
P.P.S This coming Monday, May 18th, this site will be moving. Come on back and help me celebrate Launch Week. There will be new posts and giveaways each day (Monday-Friday). I can’t wait to share the new and improved site with you!
