Welcome to Day #26 of the Restoration Project.
If you are new here, you may not know the we host a monthly giving initiative, Extension 26. We highlight a different ministry or organization to support through finances, prayer and encouragement. We ask God to multiply our efforts as good is done around the globe, for the sake of the Gospel.
This past January I wrote a post about my wrestle with a directive God had given—go to Cambodia.
My daughter and I were all set to go this past summer but the trip was postponed. When my daughter learned about the trip being rescheduled for this summer, she said, “We’re going to Cambodia, right?”
My reply? “I’ll have to pray about that again.”
As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I was convicted. Have to pray about it, again?
“Well, I guess that’s not really biblical, to re-pray about something that God has already told you to do”, I explained to my tween.
I had been found out, by my daughter and my Father.
You see, for some reason, I wasn’t looking forward to this trip and was hoping it was an “Isaac” moment. You know, a test to see if I would go forward and obey?
My daughter and I determined to go, because God had made it clear—no re-praying necessary.
Then I got pregnant with the miracle that answered many prayers. It was clear that we could not travel to Cambodia with my due date so close to the trip date.
My friend reassured me that there will be more trips, so I’m not off the hook yet.
Daughter and I are committed to helping the team get to Cambodia. We can’t be there but we can go with them through our support and prayers.
Here is a fun way that you can help be a vessel of restoration to the youth of Cambodia. Head on over here to purchase a “Find Your Reach” t-shirt.
Our friend designed these shirts to generate funds for this mission trip—aren’t they great? These would make a great Christmas gift that gives twice.
Learn more about the trip and Reach (the non-profit organization that is leading the team).
The team covets your prayers as they prepare to extend themselves on behalf of the poor. They are ready to learn, be stretched and to love big this summer.
Let’s reach out generously with the hands of Christ and trust Him to multiply our efforts and gifts as He goes before us, beside us and behind us.
No matter where you are living today, you can extend your reach and make a difference—across the globe, across the table and across town.
P.S. Get caught up on Days 1-25 of the Restoration Project.

Amazing how you got “off the hook” as far as going to Cambodia, friend! I am joking and I know you were too. I bet God has other plans to send you to serve in the future. Meanwhile I rejoice with you in the new little life God has blessed you with and in all the opportunities you have to serve right where you are!
This is a beautiful post, thanks for highlighting this ministry today.
