In biblical times the Israelites were given land, yet they still had to fight to possess it.

This surprises me. It seems if God promised you land then you could walk up and take it without opposition, but Scripture proves otherwise.

In order to take the land they often had to battle.

A year ago we began a journey to purchase a home and gain some land of our own. It took almost eight months of “wandering”, numerous detours, and heartache to finally land upon the home of our hearts.

As we walked upon the grounds we sensed that this was to be our home, but there was a battle to be fought in the heavenlies in order for us to take possession of it.

It all started with the persistent prayer of our sunshine-headed son.
